CARING FOR YOUR MERINO WOOL BEDDING
All of our Pillows, Duvets, Mattress Toppers, Cushions and Sheepskins are made with 100% Merino Wool and 100% Organic Cotton so need to be cared for accordingly.
Merino Wool is a beautiful soft high quality wool and is naturally low in the sheep's natural Lanolin oils and requires a minimal level of washing in order to prepare it ready for carding, however there will naturally be a slight lanolin aroma, however all our products are 100% natural materials and this means that all our bedding can be machine washed if and only absolutely necessary.
Cleaning in your MACHINE WASH
All of our products can be washed in your washing machine at home only if completely necessary, the washing process MUST be on a WOOL setting
on your machine. As all of our products have 100% Organic cotton, we recommend Ecover Delicate wash solution in order to maintain its Organic properties.
Once the wash is complete, hang the product out to dry through.
DO NOT TUMBLE OR HI HEAT DRY.
Although all of our products can be washed in your machine, we cannot stress enough that this is only when absolutely necessary. The BEST way to keep them clean, fresh, bacteria and toxin free and to ensure they last, is to AIR them all in the sunshine on the washing line at least 4 times a year, preferably at the turn of each season.
The sunshine sterilises the wool and the Cotton, the warmth of the sunny will encourage any moisture trapped within the wool to be wicked away, encouraging bacteria, toxins and dead skin to be evaporated out.
Airing our products also encourages the fibres of the wool to naturally expand back out, ensuring that the pillows, duvets and mattress toppers are revitalised and bounce back to life.
